And just 6 km away, you can ski the Schmittenhöhe ski area's 77 kilometres of piste. Also just 5 km away is the entrance to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area with its 61 kilometres of piste and guaranteed snow all year round.
If you want to use Lake Zell - either for swimming, diving, surfing or a trip on one of the pleasure boats, it is also just 10 minutes away by car.

Zell am See - Kaprun - Piesendorf
Piesendorf, a charming town in the Pinzgau mountains, is the perfect place to spend a quiet holiday with a superlative relaxation factor. Its cultural and sporting facilities are extensive, and the food and drink in the Zell am See - Kaprun - Piesendorf region and in the mountains means you will be spoilt for choice.
Countless mountains, vast meadows, dark forest, blue lakes, castles and palaces are all yours to enjoy in the Salzburg Pinzgau. There's culture too, such as theatre performances, musical gatherings or traditional events, to make your holiday entertaining.
Hundreds of kilometres of hiking paths, cycling paths and mountainbike trails provide ample space for exercise. Mountain hiking at all altitudes and levels of difficulty provide the perfect challenge for everyone.
In Pinzgau, you can also travel on an "old" steam train on a narrow-gauge railway. Cycle to the Krimmler Waterfalls and take the train back - it's a great experience for the whole family!
